College Sports Scholarships & How To Get The Best College Sports Scholarships

College sports scholarships are something that all parents want their high school student athletes to be able to get. The main reasons for wanting to attract the right college sports scholarships are:

  • Student athletes receive a college education;
  • Student athletes are provided with the opportunity to play the sport they excel in;
  • The student athletes and their parents may get all of this for free; saving tens of thousands of dollars per year!

The big problem, however, is actually being awarded an athletic scholarship.

"You Can't Just Sit Around Waiting For College Sports Scholarships To Find You!"

The biggest mistake parents and their high school student athlete children make, is to sit around waiting for athletic scholarships to come to them. And it's the same thing every year.

Tens of thousands of high school student athletes and their parents sit by their phones or hope to get letters from college coaches who are interested. Less than 6 percent will receive any type of contact from college coaches.

You just can't sit around waiting. It doesn't work! You need to be pro-active in your search for athletic scholarships.

Ok, so when is the best time to start? You should start the process of getting yourself in front of college coaches at least by the start of your 11th grade year. This will give you the best opportunity to receive the best athletic scholarships available.

You can of course start in grade 10 and continue right up until the end of grade 12, but what we’re saying is that you should really think about starting no later than grade 11 for the best results.

You will be more successful and have many more choices by starting at this time rather than waiting until near the end of grade 12 like most student-athletes do.

"Facts About College Sports Scholarships"

  1. Over Ninety-Four percent (94%) of all student-athletes will never get the chance to participate in college sports;
  2. Some college coaches get a maximum of $5000 per year to do ALL of their scouting and recruiting! How can coaches locate and sort through millions of high school athletes each year trying to find the ones that fit their program? It's Simple – They Can't!

One of the ways most college coaches find the athletes for their programs is through the use of Athletic Scholarship Service providers. There are a couple very good "scholarship hunter" companies that are involved with the athletic scholarship service business, but there are also hundreds that aren’t good at all.

Some, on the surface may look like a good option, but in actual fact will do absolutely nothing for you or any college coach as far as athletic scholarships go.
